February 2nd, 2015- The Seven Week Transfer (Rocklin)

Hey Everyone!

As the title says, the seven week long Transfer has finally ended! And
23 missionaries are going home while 7 are coming in (and only two of
these missionaries are Elders! The rest are Sisters!)! The bad news
is, one of the Transfer dates got change back a week in April so that
means we are going to have another 5 and 7 week Transfers.

We were able to keep really busy this week and ended up with a lot
more lessons then we normally get in a week! I'm really happy about
that and I feel very accomplished. There were also many miracles and
serving opportunities we had. On one day, we ran into two un-expected
services in one day with amazing results. We were actually in our way
to a members house to do service for them and, before we made our
first turn, ran into a woman who was having car problems on the side
of a busy road. She had a tow-truck coming her way because her car
died in her and wouldn't start up but she wanted to get into a parking
lot so she was out of harms way. Elder Masima and I offered her help
and pushed her and her car into the local parking lot. She gave us
money but we tried to deny it and tried to get her to feed the
missionaries in her area but she wouldn't feed missionaries and
insisted on the money.

We then had ran into an elderly man (about ten to fifteen minutes
after helping the woman out) who was having some problems with his
motorized scooter on the side of the road. He had lost a bolt to one
of his wheels and it wouldn't turn because of that. We looked for the
bolt (with no prevail.) but then, by chance, a Less Active man from
another Wars stopped by and offered help. We loaded up the Elderly
Man's scooter into the Less Active's minivan (the Less Active admitted
to is that he was Less active to us.) and he took the Elderly man home. We got the Elderly Man's number just in case we found his bolt, we might try calling him later.

The service we did with that Member family I mentioned early was painting their "playroom" (I put quotations around playroom because they have a twelve year old, a fourteen year old, and an eighteen year old boys live with them. Anyways, that's were they have all their video games, darts guns, a pool table, etc but I don't you would call that a play room if they're teenagers, right?). We had fun painting with them and, at one point, I took a smaller brush and I painted the eighteen year old's face on the wall as a joke. However, he loved the picture a lot and refuses to let anyone paint over that. Haha. Now they have a giant head on their wall.

Yesterday was President Marston's birthday and the Zone wanted to surprise him. The Sisters in Granite Bay had set everything up, like making fruit pizzas and two large posters! All the Missionaries in the Zone met at President Marston's and, with the help from Sister Marston, sung Happy Birthday to him and surprised him! (Though he claims that we only came was to see if we could caught a sneak peek of Transfers. Haha.) we had fun, chatted with one another, and he had the Zone Leaders publicly read out the Transfer calls in front of everyone! Haha. Elder Masima and I are staying together for another Transfer. Then Elder Larsen and Sister Willis from Oroville are coming down to our Zone! Oroville is coming back to me!

I hope you all had a good week! And a good Superbowl Sunday! I can't wait to hear from all of you and I miss you all! I love you all and please take care!
